Activities for Girls

Activities for girls
At Nottingham Forest Community Trust, we are proud to offer fun, safe and inclusive activity programmes designed especially for girls and young people in our community.
We believe every child should have the opportunity to play, learn and grow in a positive environment where they feel supported and encouraged.
Through our sessions, girls can build confidence, develop new skills, make friends and stay active, all while having fun.
Whether your child is trying football for the first time or looking to take part in regular activities, there’s a programme to suit every age and ability.
How you can get involved
Official Soccer Schools – Girls Only & Mixed
Whether your child is a regular player or it’s her first time, we’ll be sure to welcome her and make her feel right at home on the pitch. Our sessions are designed to build confidence through the “Forest Way” of playing.
What to expect: Groups are split by age to ensure participants can play with friends and in an environment that challenges them
to develop while having fun.
Outdoor Play: Our Soccer Schools run at various venues across Nottinghamshire. Please ensure your child arrives with appropriate clothing (and keep an eye on the weather!).
Additional Information: 6-14 years old. £15 per session.
Girls Only Session: This takes place on a Friday during our Soccer Schools. The venue is Rushcliffe.

Premier League Kicks – Mixed
Premier League Kicks is one of our flagship community programmes, that uses the power of football to inspire young people. We offer mixed sessions throughout the city and county.
What to expect: It’s not just football! Participants can get involved in multi-sport activities, workshops, and even social action projects. There is opportunity to represent Nottingham Forest in regional and national football tournaments.
Additional Information: Completely free to attend. Ages 8-18.

Healthy Goals
Our “Healthy Goals” programme is all about physical and mental wellbeing. We know that fitness is more than just running a lap; it’s about feeling good inside and out.
What to expect: We run a female only session on a Monday in Forest Fields for Teens (11-16) and Adult Women (18+). We also run sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in St Ann’s, Bilborough and Kirkby.
Additional Information: Completely free to attend. Ages 11-18+.

Community Coaching
A hands-on coaching course for 16-18 year olds that combines practical experience and industry-recognised qualifications.
Participants gain real coaching experience in schools and community settings, learning how to lead inclusive, high-quality sessions and taking an important step towards a career in sport and youth engagement.
The programme is ran in partnership with West Notts College.

Holiday Activities & Food
Funded by Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County Councils, the Holiday Activities & Food programme gives children and young people healthy meals and fun holiday activities.
Nottingham City (5-16) offers sports, arts, crafts, and games, while Nottinghamshire (11-16) features exciting experiences and trips.
*Sessions are for eligible participants only.
