TRICKY TO TALK MATCHDAY HUB AT THE CITY GROUND
Nottingham Forest Foundation welcomed hundreds of Reds fans to the official launch of the Tricky to Talk Matchday Hub at The City Ground on Saturday, marking a significant step forward in fan wellbeing and suicide prevention.
Delivered in partnership with the Premier League’s league-wide Together Against Suicide initiative, the dedicated Hub opened its doors outside the Brian Clough Stand two hours prior to kick-off, providing a warm, quiet, and non-judgmental space for supporters.
To mark the launch, the Foundation was joined on-site by key mental health partners, including Tough To Talk, Nottingham Counselling Services, and NottAlone. Together, representatives and qualified practitioners were on hand to offer free hot drinks, friendly conversations, and immediate guidance to fans navigating mental health challenges or supporting loved ones.

The matchday activation highlighted the power of the football community in breaking down stigma, encouraging open conversations, and reminding fans that they never have to face life’s challenges alone.
Colin Eley, Health & Wellbeing Manager at Nottingham Forest Foundation, said:
“Saturday was a really powerful moment for everyone involved. Seeing so many supporters drop by the Hub – whether to grab a hot drink, learn more about local services, or simply have an honest conversation – underlines just how vital these spaces are at football grounds.”
“We are incredibly grateful to Tough To Talk, Nottingham Counselling Services, and NottAlone for joining us to launch this initiative. The City Ground is a place where people come together, and through the Tricky to Talk Matchday Hub, we are ensuring that support is readily available right here on our doorstep for every home game this season.”
The Tricky to Talk Matchday Hub will be open outside the Brian Clough Stand two hours before kick-off at every home fixture throughout the 2026/27 season.
